I've been informed of a number of changes to rail timetabling to/from London Victoria from Carshalton and Wallington train stations.
I share residents' frustrations over GTR and Southern Rail's decision to divert London Victoria services to London Bridge due to staffing shortages. As we return to work and begin 2022, it is vital we maintain frequent and reliable services from stations across Carshalton and Wallington. GTR have unfortunately confirmed that they are reviewing their crew availability on a daily basis and so it is vital for customers to check on journey planners before making their trip.
From Monday 10th January, two trains per hour in each direction will operate to and from London Victoria calling at Hackbridge and Carshalton stations. This new Victoria service is additional to normal services running from Hackbridge and Carshalton station which will remain diverted to London Bridge for now. For Carshalton Beeches and Wallington, the Sutton to Victoria service remains on diversion to Balham, where customers can change at Streatham Hill or Balham for Victoria.
Timetabling decisions for the 17th January onwards is currently being finalised and I have asked GTR to update me on this as soon as possible. You can read more about Southern Rail's revised timetable, including weekend travel, here.
It is also important now more than ever to sign my petition to restore half-hourly train services to London Bridge. We are nearly at 1000 signatures so please take a read and sign here: www.elliotcolburn.co.uk/londonbpetition.
