Today I got the chance to get the Justice Minister, Tom Pursglove, to reaffirm the Government’s support for restorative justice. As part of this commitment he noted that the Government - as well as he himself - would continue to maintain this support and the necessary funding for such programmes.
As the Chair of the All Parliamentary Party on Restorative Justice, this was welcome news as I know the good that restorative justice programmes can do, such as the Chris Donovan Trust based in our own area. You can watch my whole question, and the Minister's response, above.
