I am delighted to be supporting Back British Farming Day again as one of the few London MPs to represent areas of farmland.
Proudly wearing my wheatsheaf pin badge, it was fantastic to have the opportunity to speak to the National Farmers Union (NFU) about the wonderful work that our farming community do to provide high quality food for our country.
It is especially important to highlight the work of our farmers after the last 18 months of Coronavirus. Farmers were rightfully made Key Workers throughout the pandemic and worked day and night to make sure we continued to have food on our shelves during difficult times.
I was delighted to visit Bushell's Farm on the Little Woodcote Estate last year to learn more about their role in providing food for our local communities and see for myself just how dedicated our farming community is. With a team of experienced butchers, the Farm Shop continues to be well-stocked with an array of attractive meats, a delicious range of home cooked pies, fresh vegetables and eggs.
I would encourage everyone to get behind this important campaign and to Back British Farming.
