It’s becoming clearer that there needs to be more of a level playing field when it com`es to IVF and access to it, with the current status quo featuring too much variance.
Access to fertility treatment is something that I’ve had residents get in touch with, especially sharing their own, often difficult, stories in battling such a minefield.
I therefore appreciated the chance to chat with the team from the Progress Educational Trust, who work to break down the barriers and open up access to fertility treatment.
One of PET’s current campaigns emphasises the importance of three IVF cycles and ensuring that NHS trusts provide the three full IVF cycles as per NICE recommendations.
I will continue to monitor this and encourage anyone affected by these issues to get in touch with me so that I can escalate these with the relevant authorities.
