Today the Prime Minister gave a speech, setting out how we will Build, Build, Build as we emerge from the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Prime Minister announced a “New Deal” which puts jobs and infrastructure at the centre of the government’s economic growth strategy, investing £5 billion to support schools, hospitals, roads, rail and much more.
This is excellent news for Carshalton and Wallington, especially for local schools.
As part of the announcement, Wallington High School for Girls, Carew Academy and the Link Secondary School will all receive funding to support schools building upgrade projects.
I look forward to seeing this investment reach our schools and deliver the improvements they need to continue their excellent work. I will be asking for some more details of how the schools will be using this funding.
