It was my pleasure to visit Sutton Night Watch today to give our thanks for everything they are doing to helping tackle homelessness, especially at this difficult time.
Sutton Night Watch have come a long way from a small stall outside the station. I am proud to welcome them to their new official premises in Manor Road, Wallington, in my constituency.
I heard from their hard-working volunteers about the journey they have been on, and how they are continuing to help tackle homelessness even in this current pandemic.
It was really encouraging to see how the community has stepped up to ensure they have the donations of food and PPE needed to allow them to continue their vital work.
Finally, I was proud to hand over a small donation that Sutton Conservatives had raised at a fundraiser before the lockdown began.
I look forward to continuing to work closely with Sutton Night Watch to ensure we can eradicate rough sleeping.
