My Westminster team and I recently had a visit from pupils at Green Wrythe Primary whilst on a tour of Parliament. Whilst there, they invited me to come and visit them at the school, which I keenly accepted.
It was great to hear the students thoughts on their tour of Westminster - what they had learnt and the things they had taken away with them. As part of my visit I got to see what the pupils have been up to - sitting-in on a few of their classes and looking at some of their recent projects.
I'm always keen to hear from people about they think of our local area, so it was great to hear from the students about what they think works, perhaps what doesn't, and ultimately, what they would do different. From the various Q&As I held with the various classes, it was clear that many not only care about our community but are energised about taking a role in it and affecting positive change.
I look forward to working with them on putting their thoughts into action!
