I appreciated the opportunity to meet and chat with the Nationwide Building Society team at their recent event in Parliament.
Our local Nationwide branches have helped to support countless members and causes and continue to keep our high streets alive, so I was pleased to celebrate that success in Parliament. As part of this work and support for our high streets, I'd especially like to welcome their commitment to no branch closures in the UK until at least 2026.
What's more, I will continue to work with our local building societies and banks, as well as in Parliament, to ensure that people have access to their money as and when they need it.
