Exciting news! The successful projects that will be funded from the Neighbourhood Fund 2023 have been announced.
I’m so glad that so many of you voted to invest in our wonderful borough. The projects which have been successful are…..
- Play garden at Tweeddale – There is going to be a new outdoor community play space for children aged 0-5.
- Community garden at Hill house – There are going to be improvements to the community garden by improving the water harvesting system, planting trees and adding benches.
- Parking at Oaks Park - The number of disabled parking bays is going to be increased from 2 to 6.
- Inclusive play equipment at Wrythe Rec – The Wrythe Rec is going to be given inclusive play equipment and picnic tables.
- Inclusive play equipment at Stanley park – the broken bicycle roundabout is going to be replaced with an inclusive style roundabout.
- Improvements at The Grove – The floor markings in the multi use games area (MIUGA) are going to be repainted and the welcome sign which has been vandalised is going to be replaced.
- Tree planting at Beddington Park – there are going to be 20 new trees of mixed variety planted in the park.
- Sensory garden at The grange – there is going to be a creation of an all-weather outdoor sensory garden.
