Sutton Council have just released more information about their Parking Strategy, particularly for the Carshalton Village and Carshalton Beeches areas.
Geographical Area 2 looked at parking in the Carshalton Central and Carshalton South and Clockhouse wards among others areas in the Borough.
I received a lot of correspondence from residents concerned about the plans for their roads, and I also submitted my views to Sutton Council during their consultation.
Thanks to the joint efforts of local residents, Conservative councillors and MPs, and local businesses, the Council have proposed that they won't be taking any of the Carshalton and Wallington schemes listed below any further:
- Anglesey Gardens Area PPA
- Stanley Road Area PPA
- Radcliffe Gardens PPA
- Carshalton Beeches PPA
They will, however, be giving further considerations to the below schemes:
- Gordon Road area Permit Parking Area (PPA)
- Talbot Road area PPA
They will also be proceeding with works on new yellow lines, so do check the Council's website for any changes that will be happening near you.
There is still another round of consultation to go on any proposed schemes, so I will be back in touch with residents when that is launched.
