The Mayor of London has proven his incompetence in running our Police. As London’s Police and Crime Commissioner, it is his responsibility to keep us all safe.
Thanks to Government Funding, there are record numbers of officers in the Met, but the Policing Minister confirmed to me before Christmas that:
- There could have been another 1,089 officers in London due to Government funding, but he failed to recruit them
- Knife crime in London has increased on his watch, despite his misleading claims
We need to get Khan out. London deserves better.
