Appreciated the opportunity recently to raise in Parliament the environmental impact of plastic waste especially going into incinerators like the one in Beddington with the DEFRA Ministerial Team.
More work must be done to mitigate the harmful impacts of incineration, especially for us locally, with the plans to push through expanding our current incinerator and its operational load.
I want residents to know that, just as has been the case with the incinerator from day one, this is something that I'll continue to work on collaboratively with those both inside and outside of Parliament.
