Yesterday in Parliament, I had the opportunity to raise the litany of issues that residents living in New Mill Quarter have faced since moving in due to Lib Dem-run Sutton Council's mismanagement of SDEN.
This includes that due to how the Sutton Decentralised Energy Network is set-up, residents cannot swap energy tariffs. What's more, it often means they are left with extremely high energy costs due to this inability to change providers and a limited scope of existing support with bills.
I appreciated the Minister agreeing to meet with me to discuss not just the issues around New Mill Quarter's energy set-up and other failures of SDEN, but the wider concerns over access to energy support for heat network users.
