We're incredibly lucky to have a community powered by innovative business owners - especially those with small and medium-sized businesses.
That's where we find the big thinkers with passion and skill to turn something like an interest or a hobby into a business. They keep our high streets and town centres going and employ local people.
So, it was incredibly interesting to stop by a parliamentary drop-in with SMEs last week to discuss what sort of support they need and how existing assistance can help.
There's no denying that recent times have been incredibly tough on businesses, especially SMEs. Whilst the Government support has indeed been welcomed, there is still more to do. Something that I'm acutely aware of getting to speak to so many business owners in and around Carshalton and Wallington.
I will continue to work with them on a local level to ensure they can explore and access the support available, as well as working with the Government to open up new levels and branches of support and the ability to do business as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
