It was a great pleasure to visit The Ginger Italian in Carshalton this morning and speak to Joe about how business has been during the pandemic.
Joe's Restaurant - aka The Ginger Italian - reopened in 2018 to great fanfare, and has gone from strength to strength over the last two years or so.
Speak to anyone in the area, and they'll know of Joe's passion and flair for what he does, with fantastic menus that change throughout the year as well as an excellent specials board. Having a read through the reviews on Joe's website, it's clear why The Ginger Italian is a firm favourite for so many people.
They also have a great takeaway and home delivery service from 5pm Tuesday - Saturday and all day on Sunday.
Take a look at their menu on their website at https://thegingeritalian.co.uk/takeaway-delivery/
I am also absolutely delighted that, as part of my first annual Christmas Card competition, Joe and The Ginger Italian have kindly offered to sponsor the winning entry with a £50 voucher for them and their family to enjoy at Carshalton’s #1 Italian restaurant. This is incredibly generous, and certainly an incentive for lots of entries!
My Christmas Card competition is open to all primary-age school children either living or at school in Carshalton and Wallington, and is for them to create the winning design to be featured on the cards I will be sending to colleagues, constituents, businesses and charities. All entries should be A4 paper in portrait format.
The deadline for entries to be received is Friday 20 November, when I will be selecting the winner and two runners-up over that weekend.
Please do post any entries to me at the following address:
