Whether it's helping those living with cancer or looking at how we can spearhead the latest technology in avoiding, detecting, or treating it, cancer is a huge focus of my work, both in Parliament and across our area. This includes my recent election to the post of Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Cancer.
That's why I was privileged to accompany Helen Whately MP, the Minister responsible for cancer care, on a recent visit to the Royal Marsden. Whilst there we got to speak to a number of the staff and observe some of the latest in patient care and therapy.
The hospital is a pioneering establishment at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and treatment - it's something that I know people across our borough are proud of. And rightly so.
As such, I will continue to ensure that everyone is able to continue to access good, decent healthcare locally.
