After pushing forward many meetings and constantly fighting for the changes you want, I am really glad to announce that some of the services from Carshalton into London Victoria are being extended from 5 carriages to 10 carriages! This is fantastic news and will make your commutes a much more pleasant journey.
I will continue to urge the rail operators to go back to 4 trains to London per hour, as I know this too is something that would benefit so many.
Weekdays:
The train arriving into London Victoria at 09:45 is being extended to eight carriages from five! This allows a slightly later arriving train to be the same length as the already 8/10 carriage length peak trains.
Saturdays:
Saturdays are a really important day for there to be more carriages and a lot of you raised this issue with me. I’m so glad to say that the following trains are being extended from five to ten carriages!
Departing from Carshalton:

Departing from Victoria:

It is also highly likely that from Summer 2024 there will be more trains with ten carriages.
