Network Rail have just launched a consultation on unblocking the Croydon bottleneck - a project that could have major benefits for rail passengers in Carshalton and Wallington.
As I campaign for more frequent and reliable rail services for local residents, I am often told that congestion at the 'Selhurst triangle', through which many local rail services go through, means that rail operators cannot put on any additional services at our stations.
The Croydon bottleneck project is part of a massive infrastructure plan, which will not only make services more reliable, but by unlocking congestion on the line they could put on more services from our local stations.
A consultation on the next steps for the project has just been launched, and I am encouraging you to take a look and have your say on the project here.
